Quality and safety management systems of JSC "AFPK "Zhlobinsky meat-packing plant"

JSC AFPK Zhlobinsky Meat-Processing Plant was one of the first in the Gomel region to develop and implement a quality system in compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9000.

The creation of a quality management system is a strategic decision of the top management of the enterprise, aimed at achieving a high level of quality and competitiveness of products.

Currently, the company has a certified quality management system for compliance with the requirements of STB ISO 9001-2015 "Quality Management System. Requirements" applicable to the development and production of sausages, pork and beef products, lard, production of pork, beef, and canned goods.

The quality management system is aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of products, preventing the occurrence of non-conformities at all stages of production - from the receipt of raw materials and materials to the sale of finished products.

The enterprise has also implemented and certified a food safety management system based on the analysis of hazards and critical control points (HACCP) for compliance with the requirements of STB 1470-2012 "Food safety management systems. Food safety management based on the analysis of hazards and critical control points. General requirements" as applied to the production and storage of pork, beef and horse meat, food by-products, the production of dry-smoked, dry-cured, boiled-smoked, boiled and semi-smoked sausages, pork, beef, lard products, canned meat and meat and vegetable products.

In September 2022, the scope of the food safety management system based on the hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) was expanded to comply with the requirements of STB 1470-2012, as applied to the production and storage of beef and pork cuts, meat and meat product blocks, trimmed and boned meat, semi-finished meat and meat-containing products, and semi-finished poultry products.

Confirmation of conformity of meat products with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union, which apply to them, is carried out by adopting a declaration of conformity based on one’s own evidence and evidence obtained with the participation of a management systems certification body, an accredited testing laboratory.
